One card – 5 challenges

I’ve been busy today, and have only started thinking about challenges again since I started this new blog.  I thnk 5 challenges is probably an all-time high for me! I’d like to enter this card into the following:

Anyone for Anya – follow sketch 7 (which I’ve flipped) and use a Greetings Farm image.

Pollycraft – Challenge 35: Distressing – I’ve attempted to distress and ink the edges of the papers and the paisley design to ‘pull’ everything together.

The Pink Elephant – Challenge 56: Green

The Cuttlebug Spot – Green: the new Black – I’ve used lots of green and the paisley embossing folder.

And last but not least, Pile it on – Lucky Me – states that you can use green to represent lucky (and I’ll be lucky if I get flowers for Mother’s Day, lol), and also enter the card in more than one challenge.  I think I’ve managed that!

My first box

Card boxMy daughter brought some of my cards into work to sell, then came home and said she needed a box to put them in, so this is what I came up with.  I’m impressed with it (even though I say so myself, lol).  The base was made with dark brown card, and the top with basic grey paper.  I used the scor-pal and guessed at the sizes – essentially I wanted to make it as large as I could within the restraint of using 12×12 paper, and to fit my largest cards in (13.5cm x 13.5cm).  I scalloped the edges of the lid with a Martha Stewart punch.

Something for Mum

Mother's Day cardHere’s the card my mum will be receiving this year (she doesn’t now about my new blog yet, lol, so I’m safe to post it here).  The papers are basic grey and the image is courtesy of the lovely Rusty.  I’ve used my favourite Martha Stewart punch – doily lace – and cut the letters for ‘mum’ using a sizzix alphabet on my cuttlebug.  I’d like to enter this card for the following challenges:

MSE – Mother’s Day

Magical Crafts – Something for Mum

Secret Crafter – Mother’s Day

Simon Says – Recipe Challenge

Jacque’s Big Sweet Stuff

Jacque has some very generous blog candy on offer. Go visit her site for a chance to see her gorgeous cards and for a chance to win.

Nappy Cake

Nappy cake This was my first attempt at a nappy cake, made for my sister again.  I was surprised that she recieved another nappy cake from the inlaws – they bought their’s but it looked pretty shabby next to mine, lol.

New baby card

Baby card

This is a card that I made last year for my sister’s new baby girl. The papers are K&Co; the letters and hearts cut from wallpaper with a Quickutz Squeeze; and the pram made from a template on time for crafting.
